Plunge for the Cure Foundation

Participants fundraise and then participate in a symbolic plunge into the water to raise funds and awareness about ovarian cancer. The event contributes to the celebration of the onset of summer while supporting a critical cause.

The funds raised by Plunge for the Cure primarily support research at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and Vancouver General Hospital (VGH) facilities. These world-renowned research centers are key recipients of the charitable funds, which focus on translational projects aimed at improving treatment outcomes for ovarian cancer patients.

Through initiatives like the Plunge for the Cure Impact Grants, the foundation supports translational research projects. These grants prioritize projects utilizing clinical samples and associated with funded clinical trials to maximize the impact on current patients. Each grant can fund up to $125,000 per project over one or two years.
