This historical and cultural landmark was saved from intended demolition through the efforts of CreativeHub 1352 a nonprofit charitable communitydriven organization. As a result the City of Mississauga designated the property under the Ontario Heritage Act in 2009 who then acquired and began the restoration of the building in the spring of 2017. The Small Arms Inspection Building is owned and operated by the City of Mississauga.
