L'Antr'Aidant

Overview

L'Antr'Aidant is a Canadian nonprofit organization established in 2009 to provide support for caregivers. It received its charitable status in 2010. The organization was founded by a group of caregivers who had previously established a social solidarity cooperative known as the Coopérative de Solidarité, de Répit et d’Entraide (SORE) in the Pays-d’en-haut region.

Mission

The mission of L'Antr'Aidant is to improve the living conditions of caregivers supporting adults who are ill, in vulnerable situations, or seniors experiencing physical and/or cognitive autonomy loss. The organization aims to address the diverse needs of caregivers by offering activities and services focused on awareness-raising, listening, individual and group psychosocial support, information, training, and personalized coaching.

Services

L'Antr'Aidant understands caregivers as individuals providing significant support on a non-professional basis to family members with disabilities or health challenges. The support can involve various forms of assistance, such as transportation, help with personal care and housekeeping, emotional support, or coordination of care and services.
