SMOC Welcome to the BC Society for the Museum of Original Costume SMOC Attend an upcoming SMOC event to explore the collection and learn from industry experts. Our Mission PRESERVING FASHION HISTORY IN VANCOUVER SMOC is home to thousands of artifacts that date from circa 1800 to today. The ultimate goal of SMOC is to house and display our collection in a permanent museum of historic fashion and fabric arts for residents of and visitors to the city of Vancouver. Our friends at @roeddehousemuseum have an exciting event coming up. This event is an intimate gathering in the beautiful Roedde House parlour where guests will be led to participate in a kumikō - a form of incense appreciation exercise developed around the Muromachi period (1338–1573). Experience and compare several types of highly fragrant woods in a game that incorporates seasonal and literary references.
