A $16,000 grant from the Community Foundation for Kingston & Area is opening new doors for Black youth in STEM. The Black Youth in STEM (BYiS) Program at Queen's University is now able to offer innovative robotics programs, small group learning, and cultural mentorship. Thanks to community support, young innovators are building skills, confidence, and belonging—one robot and one lesson at a time.

At this year’s 8th annual Diversity Dinner, hosted by the Canadian Colours Kingston Foundation, the Community Foundation for Kingston & Area proudly joined as co-organizer to celebrate “Resilience through Diversity. ” This free event encouraged donations in support of Martha's Table to help address food insecurity in the Kingston region. We're pleased to share a photo from the recent cheque presentation to Ronda Candy (Executive Director, Martha’s Table), with Stacy Kelly (Executive Director, Community Foundation for Kingston & Area) and Jimmy Hassan (Founder, Canadian Colours Kingston Foundation).
