History
Apothecary Hall was once a functioning pharmacy from 1922 to 1986. In 1988, it was converted into a museum to commemorate the province's pharmacy history. The exhibits also include a wide range of historical in-house and commercial pharmaceuticals spanning more than a century.
Architecture
Apothecary Hall is notable for its preserved architectural features, such as hand-pressed tin ceilings and handcrafted oak cabinetry. The building was designated a Registered Heritage Structure by the Heritage Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador in 1988.
