They recognized that there was a need to encourage students to be involved in the Mining Industry to have ongoing education of the participants in the industry and also to educate the general public on the need for mining to sustain our way of life. 40th ANNIVERSARY CARD PROJECT To celebrate its 40th anniversary CIMF was founded on October 10 1972 CIMF is offering Mineral cards for educational purposes.
