Multicultural Helping House Society

The Multicultural Helping House Society (MHHS) is a registered non-profit society and charitable organization in Canada. Established in 1996, MHHS has been dedicated to serving the needs of newcomers to Canada, including new immigrants, permanent residents, and citizens.

Mission and Vision

The mission of MHHS is to help newcomers of all cultural backgrounds successfully participate in Canadian society and economy. Its vision aims for newcomers to fully integrate into Canadian life by providing various support services.

Services and Programs

MHHS offers a wide range of services designed to assist individuals in their settlement, employment, social integration, and personal development. These include:

  • Settlement and Employment Services: MHHS provides free settlement and employment services to help eligible clients integrate into Canadian society by acquiring necessary skills and finding employment opportunities.

  • Women’s Program: This program focuses on addressing systemic barriers to women’s equality, promoting their full participation in economic and social life.

  • Seniors Program: Tailored for individuals aged 55 and older, this program creates opportunities for social connections and community engagement among seniors.

  • Youth Wellness Program: Designed for youth between the ages of 13 and 25, this program supports mental and physical well-being through engaging workshops and activities.

Impact and Recognition

MHHS is recognized and supported by all three levels of government: Federal, Provincial, and Local. It collaborates with other community organizations to meet the diverse needs of its clients, particularly those disadvantaged by language barriers, employment challenges, or social isolation.
