Overview
The St. Albert Family Resource Centre is a nonprofit organization serving families in St. Albert and surrounding communities since 1982. It is registered with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) as a charity, bearing the business registration number 128925666RR0001.
Mission and Programs
The centre's mission focuses on empowering families and fostering community connections. It offers a range of programs aimed at enhancing family life and support.
Family Life Education Program
This program provides over 600 courses and workshops annually, focusing on increasing social and emotional development in children and promoting parental skills and knowledge. Programs are conducted both at the centre and through outreach efforts.
Family Support Program
The centre offers free one-on-one education, support, and referrals to parents or primary caregivers of children. These programs are tailored to meet the unique needs of families during different stages of child development, from newborns to teenagers.
Services
St. Albert Family Resource Centre offers early childhood programs, child and youth programs, and parent education programs. Additional services include home visitation and referrals to community resources and supports. All early childhood, child and youth programs are provided free of charge to participants.
