Cardigan Area Heritage Home Cardigan is a small village on the east coast of Prince Edward Island . In the center of the village is the Cardigan Heritage Centre which is owned and managed by the Cardigan Area Heritage Association. Their mission statement To promote the history of the Cardigan area through preserving and showcasing the documents andor objects of educationalcultural value. The Heritage Centre was built in 2003 with the intention of gathering information about the heritage of each of the communities that formed the Cardigan Consolidated School District .
