Dundas Concert Band Inc.

History

The band was originally established in 1848 as a military band. In 1923, it was renamed the "Dundas Citizens’ Band." In the early 1940s, it adopted the current name, Dundas Concert Band. Since 1958, the band has presented a summer concert series at the bandshell of the Dundas Driving Park, a tradition that continues in various forms.

In 2003, the Dundas Concert Band was incorporated as a nonprofit organization and granted charitable status, emphasizing its commitment to advancing music education and community engagement through performance.
