The **White Rock Museum & Archives Society** (Business Registration Number: 135749919RR0001) is a Canadian nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and interpreting the cultural heritage of White Rock, British Columbia. Registered as a charity with the Canada Revenue Agency, it operates a community-focused museum and archives within the historic 1912 White Rock Train Station building near the waterfront.
## Mission and activities
The society's mission centers on celebrating the community's history through artifact preservation, archival research, and public education. Its activities include curating rotating exhibitions, organizing public programs, and maintaining collections of photographs, documents, and historical objects that chronicle regional development[3][5]. A notable recent exhibition, *"Shenanigans! Celebrating 80 Years of the White Rock Players' Club"*, exemplifies its focus on local cultural narratives[1].
## Facilities
Housed in a heritage railway station, the museum provides exhibition spaces and archival resources while serving as a cultural landmark along White Rock's waterfront promenade. The building's historic architecture contributes to its role as both a tourist attraction and community hub[1][5].
## Governance and funding
As a registered charity, the society relies on donations, grants, and community support to fulfill its mandate. It emphasizes accessibility and public engagement, offering admission by donation and programming designed for diverse age groups[1][4][5]. Edit Wiki
