The Hnatyshyn Foundation

The Michailoff family also supports grants in classical vocal performance to honor their late parents’ commitment to opera.

Visual Arts Awards

Two annual prizes in visual arts:

• Outstanding Achievement as an Artist ($25,000): Recognizes mid-career artists (e.g., Stan Douglas in 2006, Ken Lum in 2007, Dana Claxton in 2019).
• Curatorial Excellence in Contemporary Art ($10,000–$15,000): Honors curators such as Louise Déry (2007) and Catherine Bédard (2019).
