The Calgary Zoo - Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo Playground Closure April 16 The Brawn Family Foundation Bugtopia playground will be closed on Wednesday April 16th to accommodate maintenance. Thank you for your understanding. Outdoor Viewing Closures Land of Lemurs Walkthrough and Gorilla Amphitheatre Land of Lemurs Walkthrough the outdoor Gorilla Amphitheatre are closed for the season. Lemurs and gorillas are viewable in their indoor habitats.

As we look forward to the 40th anniversary of the Dorothy Harvie Gardens, we’ve been talking a lot about the history of the gardens – but what was happening in this space before 1985. 🤔 At the turn of the century, St. George’s Island was filled with mature trees and berry bushes before garden development began in 1909.
