Established in 1997 by a group of police officers from Calgary and Edmonton, Legacy Place Society initially focused on supporting law enforcement members and has since expanded its services to include all first responders and military personnel. The Society was founded in response to the unique challenges faced by these communities, including mental health issues, trauma, and occupational stress injuries.
