Expanding from an initial 50 dispensers in 2018, which helped protect up to 94,000 individuals and won a Canadian Dermatology Association Public Education Award, the program now includes additional locations.

Research Support

The foundation jointly established the Douglas Wright Melanoma Award with the University of Toronto. This annual award of $30,000 supports residents and fellows in the Department of Medicine conducting melanoma research. Projects can range from clinical to basic research and must be completed within a year, with possible extensions for a second year.

Events and Fundraising

Events such as the Eclipse Melanoma Party are organized to raise funds for melanoma research and awareness. Additionally, the foundation supports individuals like Michael McIsaac, who have undertaken notable fundraising projects, such as swimming solo across Lake Ontario to raise awareness and funds for the cause.
