Looking Glass Foundation for Eating Disorders
The Looking Glass Foundation for Eating Disorders, a Canadian nonprofit organization, is dedicated to supporting individuals impacted by eating disorders. The organization fosters a supportive environment that helps reduce isolation, instills hope, and sustains recovery for those affected.
Programs and Services

Personal Recovery Space (PRS): This program provides peer support through a private digital forum available 24/7. It offers empathetic and confidential support for individuals recovering from eating disorders.

Hand in Hand: This initiative pairs individuals with trained volunteer mentors for weekly support sessions. While originally in-person, these meetings were adapted to virtual formats during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Online Peer Support: Volunteer moderators facilitate online group support chats six times a week. These sessions are safe, confidential, and encouraging for participants at any stage of recovery.

Scholarship Program: The foundation awards scholarships to British Columbia undergraduate students who have experienced or are experiencing eating disorders, recognizing resilience and achievements.

Its Board of Directors, comprised of volunteers, plays a crucial role in overseeing these initiatives.
