History and Founding MWB was founded in 1960 by a group of Americans who visited a pastors’ meeting in Sarajevo, then part of Yugoslavia. This encounter marked the beginning of a long-standing commitment to providing aid to those in need across Eastern Europe.

Mission and Values The organization is an international Christian network that focuses on addressing the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of communities affected by extreme poverty.
