Whitewater Region Public Library

The Whitewater Region Public Library is a Canadian nonprofit organization serving the community of Whitewater Region, Ontario. It provides a variety of lending materials and services across its two branches located in Beachburg and Cobden. Membership

Membership in the Whitewater Region Public Library is free for all permanent and seasonal residents of the Whitewater Region, requiring proof of address for registration. Non-residents may obtain library cards for a fee of $15. Seasonal workers and college students can acquire a library card through a refundable deposit, which is returned upon the season’s end and the return of all borrowed items.

Governance

The library is overseen by the Whitewater Region Public Library Board, a group of community volunteers committed to maintaining the library as a vital community resource. The board meets nine times annually, with meetings accessible to the public via Zoom. The organization is led by CEO Debbi McLaughlin.
