Kelowna Caring Canines Society
The Kelowna Caring Canines Society is a Canadian nonprofit organization dedicated to providing pet therapy services throughout the Greater Kelowna area. Established in 1996, the organization was formerly known as the Pets and People Visiting Society before adopting its current name.

Kelowna Caring Canines Society focuses on improving the quality of life for seniors, patients, students, and community members by fostering a bond between humans and animals. The organization conducts visits to various facilities, including medical facilities, residential care homes, educational institutions, and even the Kelowna Airport. The society operates with 100% volunteer membership, relying on dog owners and their pets to volunteer for therapy sessions. Annually, they provide over 5,500 hours of pet therapy services. The breadth of their outreach includes major institutions such as Kelowna General Hospital and the Cancer Lodge. To sustain these services, the organization depends on donations and sponsorships from the community.

We train our handlers and their dogs to take them to sensitive places such as our local hospital residential care homes educational institutions and provide dog and handler teams for the Kelowna Airport Ambassadog Program. Pet therapy has been recognized as a legitimate and beneficial treatment in boosting the mental and physical wellbeing of people. From our years of experience in offering pet therapy services we have been able to offer a variety of pet therapy programs throughout Kelowna.
