Canadian Epilepsy Alliance/Alliance Canadienne de l'Épilepsie

The Canadian Epilepsy Alliance/Alliance Canadienne de l'Épilepsie (CEA/ACE) is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of Canadians affected by epilepsy. Formed in 1998, it addresses issues of national importance and coordinates efforts across community-based organizations to enhance the quality of life for individuals with epilepsy and their families.

Mission and Objectives

The CEA/ACE focuses on promoting independence and quality of life through support services, information dissemination, advocacy, and public awareness about epilepsy. It works closely with its partner organizations to ensure comprehensive support is provided from coast to coast.

Structure and Partnerships

The CEA/ACE is a partnership of grassroots epilepsy organizations across Canada, currently comprising 27 community-based groups. It collaborates with the Canadian League Against Epilepsy (CLAE) to address national concerns related to epilepsy. Additionally, the CEA/ACE holds a voting membership with the International Bureau of Epilepsy (IBE), serving as the national voice for Canadians living with epilepsy on an international scale.
