### History  
Founded in September 1986 as **Point Grey Fellowship** (PGF), the congregation initially gathered in the chapel of the Menno Simons Centre, a former convent repurposed as a student residence by the Pacific Centre for Discipleship[^1^][^4^]. Its founders sought to establish an inter-Mennonite community west of Vancouver's Main Street, particularly engaging university students and residents from diverse Mennonite traditions, including Mennonite Brethren, General Conference Mennonites, and the Mennonite Church (Old Mennonite)[^3^][^4^].  

PGIMF transitioned to a dual-conference affiliation by 1993, becoming one of few North American congregations formally linked to both Mennonite Brethren (MB) and Mennonite Church (MC) conferences[^3^][^4^].
