Toronto City Church

It is a multi-cultural, multi-generational congregation committed to serving the spiritual and communal needs of families within the city and beyond.

History

The church was originally founded in 1988 as Covenant Christian Church by Pastors Paul and Elaine Yuke, who relocated from Halifax, Nova Scotia to Toronto. Their vision was to establish a church emphasizing worship, prayer, nurturing the next generation, and having a heart for the nations. Under their leadership, the church grew into a diverse congregation with a strong focus on community and citywide outreach.

In 2013, Pastors Brendan and Sharon Witton were invited to become Lead Pastors and to merge their ministry, Church Without Limits, with Toronto City Church. This union formed what is now known as Toronto City Church – a Church Without Limits. Since then, under their leadership, the church has expanded its reach and impact, continually growing and thriving as a hub of hope and transformation in Toronto.

In 2023, Toronto City Church celebrated its 35th anniversary and the 10th anniversary of the merger, marking a period of sustained growth and community influence.
