Hardisty Agricultural Society

Since incorporation, the society has operated under a collaborative agreement with the Town of Hardisty, first formalized in 1991, to oversee the Hardisty Arena, Hardisty Lake Park, rodeo grounds, and ball diamonds. This partnership includes responsibility for capital projects and maintenance at these facilities[1][2].
The society’s governance includes an executive committee led by a president and supported by directors representing local community interests. As of available records, leadership has included James Morrison as president, with roles such as vice-president, secretary, and bookkeeper filled by community members[1][2].
Key facilities managed by the society encompass the Gibson Energy Centre (arena and curling complex), outdoor recreational spaces, and camping areas[2]. The organization remains active in coordinating projects and programming to support local agriculture and community recreation.
