L'Agora de la Danse

L'Agora de la Danse was founded by a group including Dena Davida, Martine Époque, Florence Junca-Adenot, and Gaétan Patenaude. It opened its doors in Montreal, sharing premises with the dance department of the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). The organization's inception coincided with a surge in Quebec's dance scene, addressing the need for a dedicated space for contemporary dance performances and creation.

Mission and Activities

As a catalyst for creation, L'Agora de la Danse supports the careers of professional choreographers by offering financial assistance and access to rehearsal spaces. It co-produces innovative dance projects and provides residencies for artists.
