Friends of the Provincial Archives of Alberta Society | Provincial Archives of Alberta Main navigation Friends of the Provincial Archives of Alberta Society In cooperation with the Provincial Archives the Friends of the Provincial Archives of Alberta Society accesses community resources and raises funds for the benefit of the Archives and its clients by operating casinos assisting with the production of publications and educational resources providing student and other employment opportunities at the Archives and seeking government grants for specific archival projects. The Friends of the Provincial Archives of Alberta Society is an incorporated nonprofit organization created in 1991 to support the ongoing work of the Provincial Archives of Alberta by Read theFriends Society newsletterto stay uptodate. Projects From the money raised through its fundraising efforts the Friends are able to fund important projects such as the rebinding of wellused local history books the archival arrangement and description of private records and the preservation and stabilization of rare books held in the Reference Library.
