AMF Ministries Canada was established following a meeting on October 28, 2004, in Toronto between Rev. David Daniels of Whitby, ON, Isaac Mak (Wah Lai) of Thornhill, ON, and Wes Taber of Munster, IN. The founders sought divine guidance to launch a ministry dedicated to evangelism, discipleship, and equipping believers in Messiah Jesus for effective ministry. The organization was formally incorporated as a Canadian religious charity on June 2, 2006, when it received Letters Patent from Industry Canada.

In 2007, AMF Ministries Canada sponsored a Prairie Bible Institute student for an internship in Israel, marking its early international engagement. A significant milestone was reached in 2008 with the formalization of a Joint Ministry Agreement with AMF International—a U.S.-based ministry founded in 1887 and currently operating as Life in Messiah International. While maintaining their status as independent entities, the two ministries collaborate closely to fulfill common goals.

AMF Ministries Canada expanded its operations in 2009 by adding its first full-time field workers in the Greater Toronto Area, focusing on gospel proclamation as well as preaching, teaching, and training activities.
