Cecilia Concerts Society is a Canadian non-profit charity dedicated to presenting high-quality chamber music performances. Registered with the Canada Revenue Agency under the business registration number 894903012RR0001, the organization has been in operation for over three decades.
Mission and Vision
Cecilia Concerts Society aims to unite people from all communities through the power and passion of live chamber music. It seeks to educate and inspire both the public and artists, highlighting the rich cultural heritage of Halifax, Nova Scotia (also known as K'jipuktuk).
Activities
The society presents diverse world-class chamber music experiences in intimate and accessible venues. It has hosted performances by hundreds of emerging and established musicians, including numerous GRAMMY, JUNO, Opus, and Félix Award winners[3]. Their programs often feature a mix of classical and contemporary music, showcasing the versatility of chamber music.
