The Saskatoon Chamber Singers are a Canadian nonprofit organization, registered with the Business Registration Number 129590204RR0001. This ensemble was founded in 1977 by a group of former Greystone Singers from the University of Saskatchewan, who sought to continue their vocal pursuits beyond their university years.

History

The choir was initiated by 14 Greystone Singers alumni and grew to 21 members by 1978. Initially, the directors were Robert Solem from 1977 to 1985, followed by Jim Hawn from 1985 to 1986, and then Patricia Charpentier. James Hawn has been involved with the Saskatoon Chamber Singers for most of its history and has served as the Director of Music since 2003[1][2][3].
