Established as a former Salvation Army Citadel, the building was purchased in 2007 and renovated to become a vibrant cultural hub. The organization's dual purpose reflects its role as a physical venue where artists can rehearse, create, and perform, as well as a community-driven entity that fosters inclusivity and collaboration.

History

Prior to its current name, the company was known as Coleman Lemieux & Compagnie. The name change to Citadel + Compagnie in 2017 was made to highlight the stability and influence of owning The Citadel on the organization's mission.
