For Youth Initiative TO END INEQUITY WE COME TOGETHER AND TRANSFORM LIVES Supporting Black racialized and newcomer youth to navigate systemic barriers plan for the future and access the resources and mentorship they need to thrive In the 20222023 fiscal year 770 unique clients were served 690 were new clients 94 of youth participants identified as racialized and 56 identified as Black 33 of youth participants identified as newcomers to Canada Since 1995 For Youth Initiative has been committed to supporting and equipping Black racialized and newcomer youth with the tools and mentorship to navigate the unique barriers and challenges they face as they transition to adulthood. We walk alongside the emerging leaders of the York SouthWeston and OakwoodVaughan communities our youth providing inclusive yearround programs and services that are responsive to each young persons individual journey and needs.
