It was founded in 2003 by Winnipeg philanthropist Douglas Staley in memory of his late father William Staley. LIGHT promotes awareness of the range of spiritual traditions and teachings in our world through its own efforts and in partnership with other community organizations. LIGHT is apolitical nonsectarian and not affiliated with any one religion or creed.
