The Independent Living Housing Society of Greater Victoria (ILHS) is a Canadian nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting adults with diverse abilities in living independently. ILHS was founded by a group of residents from the Extended Care Unit of the Gorge Road Hospital. Their goal was to create supportive housing that would enable people with physical and cognitive disabilities to live independently and with dignity in the community.

CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) is an independent nonprofit organization that evaluates service providers supporting people with disabilities to ensure quality and continuous improvement. Every three years, CARF surveyors review ILHS's compliance with residential operation standards and help enhance the quality of care and support offered to tenants.
