🩺 La technologie numérique prouve déjà sa valeur en permettant à certains adultes âgé(e)s de recevoir des soins et d’être surveillé(e)s à distance. Aujourd’hui, un gériatre espagnol recommande vivement de mettre davantage l’accent sur l’utilisation de cette technologie, spécifiquement pour les personnes fragiles, afin de ralentir le rythme de leur déclin fonctionnel. Le professeur Leocadio Rodriguez Mañas, chef du Département de gériatrie à l’Hôpital universitaire de Getafe, une ville de la communauté de Madrid, a déclaré lors d’un exposé à l’HGJ qu’il avait développé un système de surveillance efficace et une plateforme informatique qui comprend l’installation volontaire de capteurs au domicile des personnes fragiles.
