Manitoba Association of Playwrights Where Theatre Begins MAP is a nonprofit service organization that supports Manitoba artists in the creation and development of new work for theatre and live performance. Search MAPs archive of Plays Playwrights Manitoba Association of Playwrights Theatre begins years before the audience gathers and the curtain rises before directors and actors and sound light costume set and digital designers all come together to collaborate on mounting a production. It begins with the play and the playwright driven by a passion to show the world as it is or as it could be to reflect the human condition to engage the world in a dialogue an invitation to imagine think and feel collectively. Since 1979 the Manitoba Association of Playwrights has been the only organization in the province devoted exclusively to the development of plays and playwrights.
