North Okanagan Friendship Centre Society
The North Okanagan Friendship Centre Society is an indigenous non-profit organization established in 1977. It is affiliated with the British Columbia Association of Friendship Centres and works to provide culturally appropriate health and social programs to the North Okanagan community.
History
The organization began as the United Native Nations Friendship Centre and has been active for over three decades. Its mission is rooted in supporting the local indigenous community with culturally relevant services.
Services
The North Okanagan Friendship Centre Society offers outpatient counselling and other support services, primarily designed for Aboriginal people in the North Okanagan area and its surroundings. These services are also available to anyone in need.
