Saskatoon Downtown Youth Centre Inc., commonly known as EGADZ, is a non-profit community-based organization located in Saskatoon. Founded on April 2, 1990, EGADZ focuses on providing youth-directed programs and services to children, youth, and their families, aiming to improve their quality of life by helping them make healthy choices.

History

The development of EGADZ began in 1988 through discussions led by the City of Saskatoon Leisure Services Department. These discussions identified the need for collaboration among various agencies to address the needs of "hard to serve" youth, focusing on areas such as education, health, food, shelter, recreation, and employment.

Mission: EGADZ operates with the mission of being visionary leaders and advocates for ensuring that children and youth have a voice in determining the programs and services that best meet their needs.
