WEST VANCOUVER MARINE RESCUE SOCIETY
Last night, May 17, at approximately 21:00 Station 1 was tasked by the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC) to assist two individuals who had become stranded on Whyte Islet due to rising tides. The weekend duty crew responded and were on the scene within 20 minutes. The two individuals were spotted at the Northwest corner of the islet and a plan was made to go ashore and retrieve them.
