Home LAST POST FUND OUR MISSION The Last Post Funds mission is to ensure that no Veteran is denied a dignified funeral and burial as well as a military gravestone due to insufficient funds at the time of death. Its primary mandate is to deliver the Veterans Affairs Canada Funeral and Burial Program which provides funeral burial and grave marking benefits for eligible Canadian and Allied Veterans. Acknowledgement by the Last Post Fund We acknowledge that the land on which the Last Post Fund operates has been the traditional territory of the Kanienkehaka for thousands of years. It has also served as a meeting and exchange site for many First Nations including the Haudenosaunee Confederacy HuronWendat Abenaki and Anishinaabeg.

For those who wish to pay tribute to their dear ones by laying flowers or other objects on the Veteran's plot for a specific period, the National Field of Honour has some wreaths available which may be laid in front of the marker for a period of time according to the contributor's desire.
