(RKMCC) is a Canadian nonprofit organization dedicated to the spiritual growth, cultural preservation, and community well-being of the Hindu population in Cambridge, Ontario. Registered under the business number 136347416RR0001, the organization serves as a focal point for religious worship, cultural events, educational programs, and community outreach activities.
History and Development
The Mandir community has a rich history supported by a succession of committed leaders and spiritual guides. Foundational figures such as Bhai Mohan Ramphal, Bhai Prem James, Bhai Dev Ram, and others have led the organization as Presidents, helping it grow and strengthen its services. Key spiritual contributors include Pt. Danain Persaud and Pt. Sewlall Persaud, who orchestrated weekly services, and Pt. Dwejendra Doobay, who fulfills dual roles as priest and advisor.
A significant milestone in the Mandir's development occurred in 2004, when it welcomed its first full-time resident priest, Pt. Ghanashyam Sharma from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. The Mandir continues to maintain a lineage of trained Sanskrit and Shastra scholars serving in priestly roles, including Pt. Rudra Prashad Dhungana.
Over the years, Radha Krishna Mandir & Cultural Centre has been visited by numerous Hindu leaders, Swamis, Priests, Pandits, and Didi Jees who have contributed to spreading the teachings of Sanatan Dharma. In May 2020, the organization officially updated its bylaws and adopted its current name to reflect its expanded mission beyond worship to include cultural and community activities.
Facilities and Expansion
The Mandir owns a 2.24-acre property in Cambridge and has secured approvals for constructing a new 21,000-square-foot facility at the intersection of Cherry Blossom Road, Boxwood Drive, and Royal Oak Road. This new Mandir represents a significant expansion aimed at enhancing its capacity to serve the community.
Community Services and Outreach

It provides a spiritual and cultural hub for high school and university students as well as broader community members. The organization also hosts a variety of religious services, cultural events, educational sessions, and devotional programs including bhajan and kirtan.
